3rd gear

On my 93 R1 3rd gear seems to act funny sometimes, it will grind a tad when trying to get into 3rd and after i get into 3rd gear once in a while ill hear a tic tic tic tic tic at maybe 1-2 second intervals until i push the clutch in, hear the blow off valve then drop it back into 3rd and it works fine, this is not something that happens all the time, just once in a while. Any ideas on what might be causing this and how to fix it?

I would first try changing your tranny fluid. Try something like Redline MT-90 or Royal Purple.

if you know how to double clutch do that when you engage 3rd... if it goes in clean then i would say its your syncro... I have to double clutch 5th every time
