3K rpm hesitation and nitrous?
hi
i'm running non seq turbos and i'm thinking of using a small 35 shot (wet) to spool the turbos. i'll have a window switch so that nitrous comes on from 3K to 5K only.
now here is my question:
i have the 3K rpm hesitation. Is it a lean condition at that RPM? and if its not a lean condition, will it be safe to spray at it?
thanks

Check it first
Get an A/F ratio meter or goto a dyno to have them check it out. Only really hard thing with Nitrous is on a rotary, you only get one chance to make a mistake, one detonation from a NOS setup and your seals are toast. Most wet kits are pretty good though, at 35hp you should have not problems at that RPM, not even sure if you will feel it that much, probably 50hp shot will be just about right to get it rolling.
Unless you are running a single you might want to drop your window from WOT to about 3.5 or 4K RPM where your low RPM sequential should be huffen pretty well. Once you are in boost, adding Wet Nitrous is very tricky, any timming advance at all (sometimes you need to retard timming) can pop your motor.
Anyhow, good luck, I am looking into this myself, sick of those friggen all-wheel-drive Porsches knocking my butt in the ground with that drop the clutch hole shot from a stand still. Have to spend the rest of the time doing catch-up.
Anyhow, good luck and hope you get it work'en. If you get some dyno numbers, post'em, curious to see what differnce the NOS will make on the low end.
