guess there was something up with my car.....if fact I know there was because I would more than occasionally have the hold button start flashing for a sec and then stop as if there was a code but nothing ever was stored.

You FD auto owners (sans handicapped) are absolutely delusional. The auto FD3S has to be the worst implementation of a auto tranny in a sports car. I'm convinced Mazda did it as a hail mary to try and lure some chick buyers (which obviously worked)

You gals do realize its the exact same auto used in the '90-98 Nissan Pathfinder and fearsome '89-99 Mazda MPV minivan?? I'd had to run into one of those on the track!

I laugh when I read these posts praising "powerbraking" and "hold is awesome" with the stock tranny. If your a auto FD owner you have two choices: 5spd swap, or sell it at get a Supra

Apparently you didn't see the other cars on that list: 240sx, 300Zx, J30. That's like saying the Chevy T-56 is crap b/c it was in a Dodge Ram. Or the Ford C4 b/c it was in Lincolns and LTDs.

It's obvious you're an idiot by suggesting a "sell it at [sic] get a supra" comment. You're also pretty lucky to be in "Sunny Fla" or I'd show you how much of a "gal" I was, bud.

Ah yes, spoken like a true ***....lol!
LOVE your list of 'mods' by the way....do you have some stickers on your windows that add even MORE power?

I'd hand your car an *** whipping easily, boy. And yeah, learn to spell.

Why am I an idiot for the Supra comment? Anyone that would consider buying a Auto FD, would be much better off with a late model Supra, its the perfect GT class auto car. The 3rd gen RX-7 was a purpose built sports car. The fact that Mazda offered an auto in it was IMHO a marketing ploy meant at attracting women buyers.

And grimple are you seriously comparing my analogy to a Borg-Warner T-56 in a Dodge Ram SRT10 ?

And again, Bajamans poignant post is another example of an auto FD owners chest thumping/thumb dick dichotomy.

When did I imply that I can "*** whip" anyone's car? I'll go away now, an leave you auto "guys" in your own little world.

By your analogy it is EXACTLY like saying the T-56 is crap b/c it comes in a pickup. YOUR WORDS: "You gals do realize its the exact same auto used in the '90-98 Nissan Pathfinder and fearsome '89-99 Mazda MPV minivan?" In fact, it's exactly like that and it's a tired argument that you've been posting about since 2003 /yawn

Your tone about the two options for us automatic owners explicitly implies that your 5-speed can "*** whip" an automatic FD. You got called on it and now are trying to appear that you are the one that is misunderstood. I think we understood you correctly and now some back-pedaling is taking place.

I appreciate the work you did do on automatic FD when you had access to one but could it be ... just possibly... that your automotive needs are not *GASP* the same as everyone else and that the automatic FD fits our purposes PERFECTLY?

unixpilot, the fact that you imply that auto cars are made for women show that you are a closed-minded fool. It honestly disappoints me that people still think like that.

and the "chest thumping/thumb dick dichotomy" comes from the fact that you challenge a person's masculinity by the drivetrain they utilize. maybe if you keep your ignorant opinions to yourself you wouldn't receive so much flack.

The people who own autos appreciate them for what they are as I also did when I owned one.

When you do the swap, let me know if you want to sell it. I entertained the idea of going five speed, but then, I tend to march to a different beat.

BTW.... This is my 1000th post!!! Finally, after 8 years!!! WOOT!!!
