I reckon we're about neck and neck with our "Ring Bashers" mate. I still think I'm gonna beat you, no matter what Phil says, what does he know anyway, doesn't even have a RotorMotor!!? V62 filled in, lets just hope the DVLA are feeling friendly. I phoned up an told a call centre girl that I wanted it delt with imediately because I was going to the Ring... "ooohh, we don't offer a fast track service" I couldn't tell if she was being clever. Welsh.... what can you do?

Who is going to be doing your tuning for you?

And I agree... DEFINATELY get rid of that wing... it's about as chav as I've ever seen, on an FD, and more drag than good..

Yeah, I'm not quiet Chav, or "racer boy", enough for all that.. lol

I'll be going with a FEED style bonnet. Thinking I'll have A/I in before that though, since it does more good...

yeah its a standard bonnet or whats left,i made it about 3years ago when i made the v-mount .i found a guy who makes 6wheeler hummers for arabs!!! and he had an xj220 nosecone in the corner of his workshop so i asked him to take a mould from it.it did have three vents but was better with two.ive just taken it apart as the bonnet blew off when the car was part stripped and fecked all the corners.with the new horizontal intercooler / radiator layout i want to duct everything straight to the bonnet much better than before,so it needed redoing anyway

This is the car back in the 2007 season. The wing is an adjustable R-Magic wing, produces a vast amount of rear downforce as you can see in the pic as the rear maintains traction under corner exit acceleration.

Pretty cool car to use parts off. Now were to find one of the those xj220's to strip parts from. LOL

Very nicely done. It reminds me off the FEED hood, but with the vents in the front instead.

cool is good.the bonnets now a major project for next couple o days ,as is finishing the motor, siting intercooler etc once i know engines final position,a small difference at the top of ducting is a greater one when at the mouth and it all needs trimming/adjusting...its all best guess so far ..before finite posts the latest pics ile tell you some other `bits` used.

radiator ducting is an uncut pre shaped seatback from a caterham
as is the panel behind the seats hiding the waterpump and battery
two caterham tanks joined with part of my 1985 gsxr subframe after i fightered it
tank hanger is old caterham boot floor supports
fuelpump bracket is a caterham steering rack mount
intercooler ducting is two left over pigeonhole sleeves from some shelving at work
passenger footplate is all caterham battery trays welded together
some more in drivers well
greddy profec fits straight into bollok heater vent/no fixings
greddy boost guage fits in passenger side vent/no fixings

3weeks and 2days done.

3weeks and 2days is up...were due to go tomorrow eve..
but its fired up and sounding very crisp.outstanding effort to matt for this and a massive thanks to finite, shaz,jp,stu, andy, rik, gerald and even my 10yr old daughter zoe blu , who powder coated the undertray for me on one of our weekends together and thoroughly enjoyed it.mot tomorrow, then tax...
i still cant load pics but the car looks awesome.very pleased with all the bits given time constraints and exhaustion, which a few of us suffered.
plenty of checkovers tomorrow and a bit more fabricating of some odd bits then its crossed fingers for nearly 900miles....
