3" exhaust gaskets: Where to buy?

OK, I've ordered TWO sets of "3" exhaust gaskets", from ATP Turbo and TH Motorsports, and both have the bolt holes too close together. The bolt hole distance isn't usually a published spec, so I end up having the things over-nighted to me to find out they won't work. Can anyone tell me where I can order two @#$%ing gaskets from that they know will fit??

Thanks.

Racing Beat has 3" gaskets that have worked with both my stock and aftermarket exhaust flanges.

Remflex also makes gaskets that use a thicker, crushable material that is excellent if you have slight misalignment in your flanges.

i always use Vibrant exhaust gaskets. They always make a good seal. i just put 2x 2bolt 3" i.d vibrant exhaust gaskets on my FD. just make sure you have proper sizing exhaust bolts. if you have bolts that are bigger around they wont fit.

I'm actually gonna run into the same issue in the near future. I was hoping that it would be possible to purchase a "sheet" of the gasket material and cut it to the appropriate size needed.

Is this something that is doable, or am I completely off my rocker?

You're not crazy... or we both are. I did this on my DP to cat several times. I think I used fel-pro metal reinforced material. It is kind of a pain to do... you can cut the outline with metal shears.

To make the large hole you can either make a hole in the center then cut around with shears or I have even used a dremel with a cut off wheel.

The small holes are a pain, you can try pressing the right size socket thru the gasket with a press or vice... or just cut in from the outer edge so you have a slot.

I was making my own gaskets outta this stuff mainly so I could then taper the thickness down towards the bolt holes to mitigate blow-outs (more even pressure from deforming flange).

Is your exhaust actually 3 inch or is it some kind of metric size? Vibrant makes good gaskets.
