2nd Gen steering wheel hub on 3rd Gen.....?

I am going to install my Momo steering wheel next week using a second Gen Momo hub. I called Momo directly and they stated that it would bolt right up with no problems....is this true...? I think I remember reading somewhere that the 2nd Gen steering wheel hub would fit without any problems. I was going to order the Mazda Speed hub but its like $150.00, Momo hub was $48.00 bucks and should fit. I just have to hard wire the horn wires and remove the airbag bulb from the warning light cluster. Any input would be appreciated....Thanks....Tony

You can use a 2nd gen hub on a 3rd gen, but you will probobly have to redo the horn(only one wire). the only thing with the second gen hub is it is shorter and the stering wheel will be closer to the gauge cluster. I am 6'2" and my leg hits the stock stering wheel as it is... If you are short with long arms you will be OK. If not buy a 3rd Gen bracket. The BOSS ones are only about $50. Jesse
