20b swap

is swapping out the 13b and replacing it with a new 20b about the same difficulity as a normal engine swap....or does it require alot of tweaking stuff for fitment, basically is it a pain to do?

Fitment isnt nearly the issue that making it run will be unless you live with a stock ECU etc. The powerplant frame needs modified and matching front spindles to accomidate the fact that the steering rack is lowered. I believe pettit and a few other shops sell them premade. There's only a handfull of ECUs that will properly control a 20b motor and they'll require extensive tuning, or you can just use the OEM ecu, from what I've heard its mapped for a few psi of boost over stock.

for additional reference, the only shops that ever offered to do turnkey 20b installs that I've seen were all asking 35,000 USD to do it, and thats with you giving them a running 13b car to start with...

you should really go read the 20b section of the forum. THere's tons of information in there, and it is not an easy swap. If you go to the full power potential of the 20b you will need to consider upgrading/replacing nearly the entire driveline as well.... and that adds up to lots of custom $$$'s.
