The 2013 Chris Carlisi Memorial Event is on track again!
Based on last year's successful Chris Carlisi Memorial Meet at NJMP-Lightning with the TrackTime4Cars organization, we are again having it on track with them at the newly-repaved Pocono Raceway 2.5 mile Long Track configuration
The main event and track day will be Saturday August 31st with an additional track day on Sunday September 1st.
I'm hopeful that given the long lead time given this time around, the event will be even bigger and better in 2013. More details to follow, and hope to see you all there

^ Pretty cool history. I didn't know that was the car that Chris turned into the 3 rotor monster either.
I will be there for sure with my brother and the girlfriends. I am going to make sure our car will be done for this. Had a blast spectating last year, should be even more fun tracking a car.

I guess he figured he had so many man hours working on it with me he couldn't stand to see it go. He had a MB FD at the time and he parted that car and sold off a bunch of the stuff from mine to get him started towards the 20B.
I tried to talk him out of it. But once he got something in his head he would see it through. I had the 99 spec front end for the car already You now see on the car I just not installed it. I actually talked him into keeping it and putting it on the car. He was having a fire sale to put the money into that motor build.
I remember Rich looking at it and Unboxing the lights thinking they would be cheap plastic knock offs and he was impressed I got the good stuff! They were real Mazda 99 spec parts. I don't know about now but back then we were just starting to get our hands on the real stuff.
I am in the process of buying another FD.
Chris wouldn't be happy because I am considering an LSX powered car. Rich has a mint 13k mile R1 he refuses to sell me because of my intentions.
I am stoked to be part of the RX-7 community again soon and I am even more excited to lend Rich a hand with the event this year. I am humbled by Rich's commitment to carrying on this event and bringing enthusiasts as well as those who were touched directly and indirectly either online or in person by Chris Carlisi.
I will be at the event and helping Rich in a small way to make this event to continue to be a success and to Honor Chris and his legacy. I also look forward to being part of a cause we all want to help out with and that's raising some money for Type 1 Diabetes research.
Rich is doing most of the work and organizing so continue to defer to that. I just want to thank Rich for letting me pay my respects to Chris and by helping out.
Rich, Jburer and myself were very close to Chris and knew him personally for several years.
I look forward to seeing everyone there and enjoying the event. Pray for good weather! I know I will.

Guys, Nice Guy Eddie has graciously insisted that we accept a generous donation which will be a monetary award towards the RX-7 owner to drive the furthest to the event, helping to take the sting out of the fuel costs.
Thanks so much, 'Classy' indeed
