2001 type RS front caliper seals

Does any one know where I can source type RS caliper seals?

Two different piston sizes per caliper 33.9mm and 38.1 unlike in regular calipers that have same size pistons.

Try Ray Crowe, as well as your local dealer. You might have to wait a bit, but they should be available. Mazdatrix is worth a phone call as well.

They will be listed as RS 17 brakes

Part number might (or might not) be F1Z4-33-26Z

(Japanese parts manual lists as Seal and Boot Set, 17 inch.)

You might want to scour Bayee/Yaj for a set made by Seiken.

If you find the 17" equivalent, be mindful that Buyee will not ship (due to the little lubricant packet).

Better to have Jesse Streeter bid for it.

This one looks like it says F1z4-33-26Z and gives a dimension of 33.9 mm.

Contact Jesse and tell him the yahoo auction number and price you want to pay. He will invoice you for the amount and bid once you have paid. If the bid fails he will refund your deposit.

Parts manual shows that part number as being the full set. So reference to 33.9 might just be shorthand.

Nengun also seems to be selling:

https://www.nengun.com/oem/mazda/f1z43326z

Watch the shipping costs!

I would still recommend Jesse. His fees are low and he charges actual mailing costs.

Likely he is faster as well.

he might not be able to help, F1Z4-33-26Z is a competition part in the USA, dealers aren't supposed to be able to order that, but sometimes you can

Where’d you get that part number from, did it specify type RS?

17" wheels with matching brakes were never offered for USDM, iirc. I think they first appeared with the first RZ in Japan, maybe late 1993?

Buyers of certain RHD types (Like RS) are often surprised at the replacement cost of the 17" brake components.

The Spirit R even has its on select set of 17" equipment.

Red rubber grease to the best of my knowledge, is vegetable based so mightn't be classed as dangerous goods for aviation purposes, although if you try to use buyee, they're a bit crazy, as I've got knocked back for an "endangered" piece of cow leather once, where they said it was bison or something similarly stupid! The OEM kits don't come with the grease though, if you want to pay the premium.

otherwise this is a complete front-rear rebuild

"Rubber insulators" means seals? Part number matches. What are Amayama's shipping charges like?
