2 Quick Questions!!@~!

1) At times the transmission does not want to go into Reverse? why would this be? is my syncro going on it ?

2) In cold weather temps "fall" my coolant gurgles after everytime i drive my car. It did not do this for the most half of the summer but now it does this after everytime i drive my car. Mind you i do not drive my car as frequently as i did in the summer.

also
today when i pressed the clutch and took the transmition out of gear i heard a scretch that came from under the car? Am i supposed to oil up the transmition every so often because it sounds like it is getting a bit "dry' per say under there?
also
If i want to grease my "CLUTCH LINE" where would this be locted under the car? (pics would be nice to direct my attention to)

You don't grease the clutch line.

Replacing the tranny fluid is not a bad idea. It's a drain and replace thing, use a GL-4 or GL-5 oil in 75w-90.

The strange tranny noise sounds like it might be input shaft bearing.

When the car isn't eager for reverse, just put it back in neutral, clutch out, clutch back in, and try again.

1. the gear just isnt sitting right. once you put the car in first and move the car an inch, it should be a lot easier to put the car in reverse. i dont really see this in my car now but its happened before...

2. the gurgling your probably is prob air trapped in your coolant. did you mix your coolant up right for the right temperatures? i mean, how long have you had the car and did this do it the year before? i think once you bleed your coolant out youll be fine... give it a try.

now regarding your oil... you rarely have to ever change your tranmission oil but seeing how oil these cars are, it wouldnt hurt. ive never heard any screaching though... i usually swapped mine out with MT-90 from Redline

What would cause the geat not to sit right all the time ? it has done it a few times now in the past few weeks.

I have had the car for about 3.5 years now the coolant was changed once but im not sure if it was such a good job... Last year it did not make any noises it has just been recently about 3-4 months ago it started....

I did bleed the coolant a bit in the summer by pinching off the coolant hoses and trying to get rid of all the small bubbles.... and the gurgling went away near the end of the summer once i had done this.

Now since there has been a dramatic drop in temps, the car has started it again. I will try and bleed / burp the syystem and see what happends...

Invest in that coolant funnel tool. I bought one and it makes bleeding all the air out so much easier. Having said that you can always use an empty coke bottle.

What pressure cap are you running? I get some gurgling/boiling after shutdown every time with a 13PSI cap (0.9 bar). It's probably done it all along and you just never noticed it.
