2 Air vents below front blinkers - one is covered????

2 Air vents below front blinkers - one is covered????
I just noticed one vent is covered and the other is open, is this designed like this for optimal airflow? or was the plastic over the vent area just missed all this time?

i think you're talking about the vent/opening for the oil cooler. If you are then the driver side vent is suppose to be open and pass closed with plastic sheilding.
If you drive an R1/R2 then both are open.
If you drive an R1/R2 then both are open.
