1993 Rx7 Recall

Hey, i was looking at buying an Rx7, and I found one that was in really great condition. The only thing is that the engine was replaced in 1998 by a mazda dealership, not rebuilt but replaced, due to a Mazda recall, and I was wondering if anybody knew anything more about this recall because i tried googling it and came up with nothing. If anybody knows something about this recall it would be a great help, thanks.

only recalls i knew about were fuel lines and some other minor stuff like that. I dont think there was ever an entire engine recall so someone might be duping you

There was no US recall on the whole engine. There were 3 US recalls and none involved replacing the whole engine, unless this person's car caught fire and engine replacement was required.

There are some cases of the engine failing early and being replaced under warranty.

There were (4), but one was for a MAZDASPEED hood.

This is what I have, please correct if wrong:

NHTSA #96V149000 - Deals with brake booster getting oil mist in it.
NHTSA #95V069000 - Deals with excessive engine heat causing fuel lines to deteriorate.
NHTSA #94V094000 - Deals with cooling system having too high of a pressure cap, resulting in possible engine fires from coolant dripping on to hot parts of the engine.
NHTSA #00E069000 - Deals with MAZDASPEED resinous hoods and their latching mechanism.
