18x10....Too Wide?
I'm getting a new set of Dronell D-Power D-06 Wheels in 18'' Now, the wheels are offered in a wide variety of sizes, and I saw 18x10. Is that too wide? Should I go with 18x9? If an 18x10 wheel does fit in the back of my 7, what size tire should I mount? I'm keeping the front 18x8 and putting the usual 235 size. Thanks

An 18x10 will fit in the back, but you must have a perfect offset for it.
The best tire combo to use on it would be a 285/30 18

Plenty of guys with 18X10 here. Make sure you get a offset value of +45 thru +50.
I have +44 myself with 285/30/18s, Johnny has +50 with 265/35/18s. Mine does not need skinnier coilovers for clearance, and I think Johnny's does not either.
Mine (+44) is flush with the fender with 285/30, and no need to roll fender lip with .75"-1" lowering. I'm about to lower it more with new H&R springs and adjustable height Konis, and will have to roll a little maybe then. Let you know when I get to it.
Johnny's +50 will be inset roughly about the difference (6mm), so I know he will not have to roll at all.

Oh, here is a rear view - though cant really see much....
Have a few people here that have 18X10 on the front too, but need skinnier coilovers for clearance. M2's black 3rd gen sports 18X10 all four, not sure of offset though.

And this Forum member with 18X10s +53 (not the silver SSRs, but the black Technos' under the Wheel section)

I've got some 18x10 CCW track wheels. They fit pretty well with 2.5" coil-overs:

Johnny,
The Apexi...is it pre-painted, or does it at least have primer. That's sweet. I'm thinking it would be a great match with the RB front air damn/lip. Where do I find this Apexi body kit? Does it come with the wing too?
I thought the wheels were Gewalts. I've seen them with silver centers. I hear the Gewalts are reasonably light considering their sizes

SleepR1: The skirts are for sale, e-mail me if interested. They will not work with the new FEED wide front fenders, drats!
Yeah, the wheels were disassembled and the centers painted gunmetal when they came in for Japan. Got them from Hiro, very nice guy:

Extremely good price on the refinishing.

Hmmm, so do you guys think I can hack up my Apexi skirts to work with this?
I really want ot keep the skirts but I hate to start cutting it up, and then, well....
Hiro says he can order me the outer rim halves to make my front 18X8.5 +44 into a 18X10 +44. Luckily, the wheel centers of both sizes are the same, so I would just need to swap out the rim halves. The FEED fenders add 25mm to each side supposedly, so I think it would cover this:
Me sticking my 18X10 +44s on the front for grins... There is roughly about 1 1/2in clearance inside btwn the tire/wheel and stock diameter springs, though not sure if this would work in the real world. As suspension compresses, the wheel tilts inward towards the spring.
