Exclamation 185 degree fan switch problem

Currently installing the petit racing 185 fan switch. Have everything taken apart but the wire is so brittle that I have no way of connecting the new wire to the old wire. Is there someplace else where I can find a good condition wire that I can connect to?

It gets really hard if you try to dig through the harness to find a "better" spot. Typically, the insulation is brittle, not the copper wire itself. You can crimp onto the wire just fine and use heat shrink or something appropriate to cover the bare parts of the wire where the insulation failed.

^Agreed, I had to trace mine back a few inches then crimp on the end and covered it all with heat shrink.

The pigtail on the sensor? You cut off your OEM one and crimp the new one on the same wire.

Thanks for everyone who responded. Somehow I was able to strip the casing off, soldier and heat shrink everything back together.
