1600cc extreme fuel upgrade

I ordered the Extreme fuel upgrade kit.( 1600cc injectors, fuel pressure regulator, competition fuel pump).
I ordered it from Jason. Has anyone had any experience with this install? Is there anything else I will need to complete the install? Any help will be appreciated.

i too bought this kit. i've ran into 2 problems with it. one is the fuel rail has no spot for the fuel temp sensor, have no idea what i'm gonna do about that. and 2, you'll need to get some bosch connectors and solder them to your harness to work with the injectors. i'm still searching for those, so if you know where to get em, lemme know

Do th eBosch injectors need to be soldered up or can you use the stock plug connectors? Does anyone know.

the stock connectors will not work with the bosch injectors. i ordered some that i think will work for $5.11 each. they will need to be soldered, but that's not a big deal

I got my bosch connectors out of an old HKS AIC kit...might just be able to order the connectors from HKS(worth a shot anyways). Also, be sure to solder in resistors...bosch injectors are low impedance...PFC is high impedance.

As far as the fuel temp sensor, if you've got a PFC and datalogit, go into setting two right most center box and turn everything to 1.000...basically turns off the fuel temp. I have done this(as well as dozens of others here in Japan) and have had no problems whatsoever.

With that kit I sell there are a couple small things that will have to be purchased. One are the injector clips, which I do have here. You will also need a couple 90degree bends for the regulator along with some fuel line. In the next couple of days Im going to figureout pricing and probably offer all of that in the kit, so there are no problems. That will raise the price a little, but less headache for you.

Thanks
Jason

In the mean time where is the best place to get the 90 degree bends and the fuel line. Is this stuff a local auto parts store will carry?

Connectors?

Where are you guys getting the connectors for the bosch injectors? From ford? Another question is are the existing primary and secondary injectors both low impedance? I would have thought that the primary's would be high impedance?

The stock 550's are high impedance. The 1600's are low and they use GM connectors. Jason said he has these available.

Part Number?

Hey Jason do you have a part number for these connectors? Or what year/make/model they are from. I thought that only Ford SVT was the only vehicle that used 1600cc bosch injectors?

NorthWest, Ford has the clips with the wires but are pricy in Canada. If You Guys need injectors and the clips try http://www.force-efi.com/ untill Jason gets His order in.

He carries alot of injectors , clips, and pins are cheap. A word of warning when ordering You primary injectors. The Delphi style do NOT work in the primary spot as the body is to fat to seat. You must use a Bosch type injector.

I still am trying to figure out how the primary injectors are going to seat properly in the plastic air bleed sockets or also called difusers. I think I am going to use another small o-ring on the tip so the plastic injector tip will form a seal on the difuser. Anybody have comment on what to do? The secondary 1600cc Ford injectors seal very nice becuase the difusers in the LIM have an extra rubber O-ring on top.

you will need 2 Earl's or similar brand -6an 90 degree fittings with 5/16 inch barbed ends for the fuel line. you will also need the same type of fitting for the return line from the FPR, but the bend will depend on where you mount it. the 2 90's, one will go on the end of the fuel rail, the other goes on the feed to the FPR. this is what i did at least, made it simple to install, you will also need a few feet of 5/16 fuel line and don't forget the hose clamps!

I just want to make sure I have everything before I tear my car apart. I want to drive it not have it torn apart for weeks waiting on parts.
