1300cc injectors why???

Just a quick question.

WHY is everyone using 1300cc injectors???
Is that a NOS thing?
Im still using stock, and I have a good tune on
them and I dont even get close to lean even
on high boosts.. I know I will have to get bigger
ones after my side port, but my mech said I would
even have to go over 1000cc with a good
healty tune from my bud a Apexi

Thanks

because 850 secondaries can be bored out to that...that way you dont need to get a new fuel rail or injectors

I think people are using 1300cc secondaries to get their duty cycle numbers down when they up the boost. Sure there is enough fuel in the stock system (assuming everything is working perfectly) to run close to 1bar with stock turbos, but why risk it time and time again with your injectors running at 90-100% duty cycle.. 1300cc injectors just give you a nice safety margin and some headroom for future mods.

or you can just run the stock fuel system with a good boost controller and 13-14 psi, like I have been doing for the last THREE YEARS, and ignore all the paranoid "duty cycle" goofballs on here....

chuck the stock fuel filter, though....get a good washable unit and keep it CLEAN....a dirty fuel filter will kill your engine faster than any injector problems

this car breeds paranoia, I swear....what it really requires is careful maintenance

I made a page to help figure out if your fuel system will support your goals, and plan upgrades:

Thanks MAXCOOPER.

There is nothing wrong, nor do I not understand the fuel system. I was just curious why people were running 1300cc when they dont really need them. Especially stock turbos and normal port engine..
Thanks
