M2 Intake with the Scoot Hood
I've read before that the M2 intake sits too high for the Scoot hood, but the RX7 Fashion intake works. Does anyone know exactly how the M2 mounts? If it uses the OEM intake brackets they can obviously be shortened, giving the hood more room. Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas..
it's a whole box, no way to shorten it unless you can work with carbon fiber. I think the m2 and rx7fashion are almost identical so I don't think either one will work with the hood...just my assumption.

Luckily I have the old (aluminum) version of the M2 box, so that's a little easier to work. Plus I'm removing the ducting from the hood (the part that sits low) and fabricating something to work with either the intake or IC, not sure which one yet..
I've personally seen the rx7fashion box work with the REAL scoot hood...The m2 box would not work at that time...the m2 box was the older one...not the carbon fiber one. Yes the boxes are pretty much the same, but I think the rx7fashion actually sits a little lower...I'm sure something could be done...but it will take a little work on your part....
The same person also had to go from SMIC to FMIC with that hood

hmmm... guess I'll find out when you guys do, or before. Depending on who's name is first on the list (I'm number 7.) I'm trying to get check to either make the duct removable or just plain leave it off. I don't need the air being directed to those port toward the windshield, seems like a waste of cold air. I want the air towards the front, and a HMIC would be a good thing with the air that'd be coming in..
