1300cc injectors flowing 1464cc??

I just had a set of 1300cc injectors(done by RC) cleaned and tested and at 43.5 psi they both flowed at 1464cc's.Is this a problem?Should they be set up on the Power FC differently or set them for 1300's?

Mine tested at 1550, which is a little disconcerting. Next time I get a chance I'll get them flowed again and see if anything changes. If they're changing I think I'll need to go with some 1600 low impedance injectors because I won't trust them.

The thing is I need to pass the emissions test here in WA and going with 1600.s I would have to remove some of the parts I need to pass.

You'll probably have to tune to pass, but the injectors you have right now should work fine.

You could reduce your fuel pressure below 43.5psi and they will flow less. This will also affect the flow of the primaries as well the same %.

If they had good spray patterns, what's the problem? The base fuel pressure on an FD is 38-40 psi anyway, so they will be closer to 1300cc.

Besides, you will have to tune the maps anyway. Whether the injectors are spitting out 1300 or 1400, makes no difference once you start tuning.

The only reason I would be concerned is that an 850 cc injector modified to increase its flow by 80% may not behave as predictably as it did originally, making tuning more difficult. You should still be able to tune them adequately to pass emissions though.

+1

PFC has setting up to 1600cc i believe so no problem there, anything higher you need datalogit to edit the pfc.

Either way you need to tune, so as long as you can control it by tuning just keep it that way.

on most instances, It's better to have them overflowing than underflowing
