1300cc injectors

I am just wondering how many of you have them, and how many have had trouble with them?

I am looking at getting a set of bored out 850's to 1300's(if that is what you are talking about) too i have heard in some past threads that the bored out 850's have had some failures like sticking and leaking. Depends on the mileage of the injector when you bore it out. If the injector is already tired(over 100,000 miles) you should get new injectors and have them bored out but at that price you might as well go with a fuel kit with new rails and top feeds. But for the most part i have heard alot more good then bad with the 1300's.

well if you look at it, if you run 850cc primarys and 1200cc secondarys you should be able to supply enough fuel for most builds..

if your going that crazy where you need more you should be looking at top feeds anyways..

lots of people dont have a problem with 1300's i however did within my first week.. i took them out and sent them back to rc and they told me it was shot.. so i was out the money.. now im going to buy a new set of 850's and get them mored to 1200cc and run 850's up front.. gives me plenty of fuel and plenty of room for tuning for later on when i upgrade turbo (s)

but doesn't the 850s primary mess up with idling for a daily driving? or something like that?

They work just fine if you have them inspected, cleaned by a reputable shop like RC engineering. Three FDs all 550 primary/1300 secondary and NO problems.

I have 1300 cc secondaries, no fueling issues for 10,000 miles. Just a lot of wheelspin

i've had the same set of 1300's since 2001 without any problems, sent them back to RC for cleaning and flow tested 2yrs ago, and they came back working just like day one.

How many miles do you guys have on the injectors before and after being bored out to 1300. I am buying a set with about 72,000 on the injector and 1,000 after being bored out i am having them cleaned before i am putting them in.

I have a few sets already done and on the shelf for those interested in this setup.. 3 Sets all Done by RC Engineering..You can buy them outright from me or send me you 2 850cc (undamged and not leaking externally) injectors and I will exchange for 1300cc and only charge the cost to modify and return shipping..I will have to inspect your sent in 850cc 1st to confirm they are in working order..

Pm me for more info on this..

BTW: your stock FD primary and secondaries can be modified to any size you want up to 1300cc..

For you big HP guys: I also have a few sets of modified primary injectors.. I have a set of 1200cc and a set of 1100cc

ur telling me my stock primary injectors can be modded up to 1300cc?? if so thats the way to go, no milling the rail, awesome fuel pattern etc.. total stock look.

1000cc primarys, and 1200cc secondarys, i doubt ud ever need more fuel than that,

Yes, you can modify both the primary and secondary injectors

Your 550cc can be open up to whatever size you want 550cc-1300cc

same is true with you 850cc..850cc-1300cc

Best part.. no after market fuel rails or steel braided lines etc etc etc..

im' running 550cc primary and 1300cc secondaries. no problem. max 850s can be bored out is 1300's.

if you run higher than 550s for primaries, you'll be using fuel at idle as well... not necessary for stock twins...

I had a set of 1300 secondaries cleaned and didn't test them before reinstalling. They ended up sticking closed and I would get a very noticeable hesitation around 2750RPM. Make sure you test your injectors before reinstalling!
