Unhappy 12-10-0 Boost pattern all the time!! Please help.

Ok, this is the problem I hold a perfect 12PSI before the turbo transition then at the transition I drop to 10 PSI like normal, but after the transition boost just slowly drops until I have about 0 PSI at 6000-7000 RPM.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? How do I start to find these boost problems? What tools do I need? All I have right now is a basic ratchet set.

Thanks for any help.
Hopefully its something not to complex.

My mods are in the sig.

I was driving around and I noticed somemore things That I have never read about before.

If I downshift so I'm past 4000 RPM, then I floor I'll get 1-2 PSI of boost, but when I let off the throttle I get this odd noise. Its hard to describe but I'll try. Its like a jeewww sound. It sounds like the sound effect that would be used for a laser gun in a cheesey science fiction movie. Thats the best I can describe it now. I have the factory BOV mod it that helps any.

I did a search but I was more specific, and ddin't find much. I search for boost and sift through all the old posts. Hopefully I'll find something useful.

What is the factory BOV mode?

Sounds like either the vacuum chamber, or pressure chamber is venting all it's compression and should be very easy to find. Grab your vacuum pump and start testing from the chambers on. If you need help with testing, I outlined some usefull testing procedures in the "low boost" thread in the 3rd gen archives.

There are two mistakes in my test procedures and I have asked the moderator to swap out my corrected text but I have yet to see it change. Just PM me and I will give you the corrected version.

I really do think that this is an easy one.

The BOV mod is the removal of the hose from the bov to the airbox, so you get that big pshhhh sound.

THanks for the info. I hope this is an easy one. All these hoses scare the hell out of me. Especially since I know nothing about the control system, or where anything is.
