1 left over wire?

So i got my motor back in today, hooked everything up. And i have a plug left. Its right near the firewall right behind the upper intake manifold. It sits by one of the engine hoist spots but isnt connected to the engine hoist spot. It only has 1 wire going to it. I tried the car without it and the starter doesnt seem to be working. anyone have any ideas is thats causing it or where that plug goes>?

theres a ground wire up there, but this is a single wire that goes to a black plug. It comes off the engine wiring harness. I didnt know if maybe it hooked to something down on the transmission.

Do you have a good ground between the motor and the chassis ?

yea, i grounded it where my ac pump was previously mounted. ill go mess with that though. I saw something about an inhibitor switch on the passenger side of the transmission. Is that something i would have unplugged when removing the engine and transmission>?

so it turned out to be my grounding points as to why it wouldnt work. re did those and she rolls over.

Now the next problem. she doesnt seem to be getting fuel. should i have any left over plugs down by me power fc ecu? I have 2 bigger plus and 1 small 1 wire plug left over that i cant seem to find or remember where they went.

I believe these are unrelated issues... The connector is your O2 sensor and the starting problem is most likely a grounding problem.

i found a gray plug that goes in right behind the water filler neck that fits and seems like it went together with that blue plug. they both had orange centers so i think its right. I still have no fuel though.

With the power fc i am going to have left over plugs from the wiring harness left over down by the passenger side feet area right? Fuel pump is working, so something else is my problem

^ There should be no left over plugs in the interior... That may be your problem.

now that confuses me, i have one up by that L shaped bracket that mounts onto the firewall to hold the wiring harness down. fairly large and white i believe. I have 2 black blade connector wires, and i have a smaller black plug connector. but i cannot see anywhere these would go. I have all yellow connectors plugged into my ecu

pic 1, not sure if those 2 are supposed to be connected. The different color housings lead me to believe they dont go together but nothing else in that area.

pic 2, by my firewall behind uim. Pretty sure its the o2 sensor like you all said.

pic 3, the 3 left wires. Center left is the big black one. Then slightly to the right you can see 2 small single wire female type blade connectors.

Any ideas?

I know everything in the interior has a connector for it. I don't understand how you're having this problem. The one "random" connector in the engine bay is for the Oxygen Sensor...

I was wondering if maybe someone spliced a new connector in when they installed the pfc. I have that one black connector and i cant find where it goes.

There is one black spade connector down by the ECU that's the fan recall test wire - it's part of the fan recall harness.

On the ECU harness, there is a blue and a white plug. Stock, they plug into a similar blue and white plug on the dash harness. The fan recall has a sub-harness that goes in between those two plugs, and the sub-harness connects to the fan recall box behind the ECU, has a ground wire, and the test connector.

If your oil pressure is going high when turning the key to on, one or both of those blue/white connectors aren't plugged in. One of the dash connectors is up high, you'll have to get your head in there to find it.

Just looked at your pictures -

#1 - you have the airpump connector plugged in to the EGR switch connector. Doesn't look like you have an air pump, so both of those plugs should be unplugged. Plugging them in to each other is scary.

#2 - that's definitely for the O2 sensor to plug into.

#3 - that's the fan recall sub-harness, that black plug goes into the fan recall box. If you have access to a Datalogit to lower the fan temps on the PFC, and an FC thermoswitch, you don't really need the fan recall crap.
