1/4 Mile List

Has anyone made up a list of all the 1/4 mile times from this site? I saw a thread on ls1tech like this, where they have the fastest to slowest. Well, if no one has done that, i think it would be a cool idea. Another way to make people even more mod crazy, maybe. I know thers that list in rotary performance, but a nice chart with ranks would be really cool.

Of course they would have to scan a time slip.

The honor system? yeah, right. We have had dozens of members claiming 450 rwhp or so and when asked to provide a dyno slip, quickly faded into the woodwork.

Yes, it would be necessary to set-up a system that would require a scanned time slip. At least posers would have to spend the time photoshopping instead of just pulling numbers out of their ***.

I've only got 30 hp and ran a 15.2 at 94.

I have no sheet cause it's embarrassing.

Seriously...I've come to the conclusion that HP really matters with the SAME driver. Take the revolution in Indy. My brother supposedly put down 266 hp (IC, PFC, intake, DP, MP, CB, about 11 psi) and pulled 12.8 at like 112 or so. I can't remember his name...the guy in the gold FD who lunched his rear end...~350 hp and pulled what, a 12.5? Course, the dyno got screwed up before he got on, so who knows if that's right (probably not)

Do you remember how he was launching? Nice and easy, think that has a bit to do with his times? Ask him what his 60ft times were. The reason he broke the diff in the end was of course because he wanted to beat the other guy in the last race. That's why he would leave nice and easy then >>>>>>>>>

Well...I think another reason is that he was running his car everywhere all day. How many times did he hit the strip and auto-x? Are you telling me that he would run low 12's, possibly high 11's?

Anyway, point is that just HP alone won't tell you 1/4 times. Tires, suspension, clutch and other things will come way into play. HP alone won't tell you much.

Oh yeah...with mods below sans coilovers and the clutch/FW I hit 13.45 at like 103 or so with about a 2.1 60' and .950 RT. (Shitty) Brother had a 1.3 something RT on his 12.8 run on stock size tires (I think BF Goodrich something or others). Can't remember his 60'. I'll put up the slip soon.

Remember, it's not what you got, it's what you do with it.

hp and all that could just be another section on the list.....but 1/4 mile would be the key to your rank. i think it would be sweet to say "im the 54th fastest rx7!" course, thers other rx7s, but we're the majority. (i'd be closer to like 540th or 5400th haha)

Another problem with doing this is people who live next to better tracks/better locations (climate-wise) will have an advantage.

I kind of understand why you think this kind of list would be cool but on the other hand, I say "who cares". These cars were never meant to be drag cars. Now, if you wanted to start a list of lowest times at different race tracks, now that's something else....

i think it would be cool if it was a list in order of the fastest 1/4 mile times, but also included the drivers name, year of the rx-7 and the other numbers on the slip too. if you clicked the drivers name you would be taken their page where their slip would appear and they could have their mods listed and a picture of their car if they wanted.

sure it would be possible for someone to photoshop a slip, and our cars were not designed to drag but people still do. i think it would be interesting for people to see what other drivers are getting in the 1/4 who have similar mods as them to see how their car/skills match up to others.

if anyone feels like making the site so that you can submit all the info and it will automatically make the list i would be happy to host the site on my server.
