AC Condneser Replacement
Had my car checked for freon leak yesterday. It will not cool at all. I am told that the condensor is leaking, so how hard is it to remove? Any suggestions on how? Is the shrader (sp?) valve close-by? Can it all be removed from below?

You have to pull the PS pump and put it off to the side. Then remove the 4 AC mounting bolts to lift out the AC pump. Find someone who has R&R our engines and they will know how to do it.

The condensor can be removed from below atleast from my mechanics car. Why is the above different ? Anyway a new one from Mazda was high cost. He got one from Advanced Auto ,a chain store for $ 160 and it had all of the mounts and rubber parts. It fit with out adjustments. Who would have quessed it.

Hey... don't buy another one. Go to a radiator shop and find someone that can weld aluminum. That will fix it... 30 bucks Mine has held up strong.. I am assuming that there is rock hole or something... just have a look and see what you think.

Yes a good welder can do it . Cost -? My mechanic s core had atlest 4 holes so a new one for that cost seemed fine . The new part was so perfect that it may be OEM, with brackets and the rubber mounts.

hmm mine is kinda stuffed, I had it mounted horizontally right at the front/bottom of the car. I went off the track a few weeks ago and into the sand trap...
It mangled my condenser so bad its bent in half!!
You don't even wanna know what happened to my front bumper!!
