*sigh* more Secondary fixes pls!

Well, my secondary still aint workin right, I get a 10-8-4 or 6ish. Precat still on car could that be the culperate? 71xxx miles on engine and turbo's , I pulled out the Y-pipe couplings, one of them was cracked to **** so I replaced it, the other on manifold seemed alright so I let it be. Didnt fix anything.I pulled out the pressure tank and took a look at the lines in there and they all seemed alright, sept for there was this one metal tube without a line on it sticking straight up above the alternator... what the hell is that? what can I do all?

1st 10-8-5
2nd it will fly up to 7 (secondary still online) then drop down again.

pls help asap! I have a race against a blown SI this weekend that can pull 13's and I need my secondary workin

It could be many things, all related to the control system. It's not a boost leak because it would leak for the primary turbo as well. I doubt it's your precat, although you should put a downpipe on regardless. http://home.istar.ca/~dvandit/TurboT...shooting.shtml go here, and check everything out that is possible. You can hook your boost gauge to the hoses from different solenoids to find the problem. I wouldn't plan on having it done by the weekend though.

ok... so I how exactly do I go about testing the charge relief valve? I have the T split thing to hook up a gauge to, but what do I need to do?

I was reading some old posts, and areccomendation was to
"Tee your boost gauge into the nipple that is on the back of the Y-pipe just behind the Charge Relief Valve's (CRV) hose connected to the Y-pipe" and then you were supposed to get some boost as the secondary spins up and then like 10psi after 4500 rpms?

and I was reading the other posts on that main post and got confused as hell... so what should I do everyone? Im still somewhat new to working with the very complicated turbo system.

please help!! I really need some good instructions on how to check this stuff, I need to try and have it fixed by this weekend.

could the precat be the problem ???

Ok, you have it a little right. The hose on the y-pipe befor the CCA should have boost as the secondary is building and at least 10 after the transition, but that doesn't connect directly to the CCA or the CRV. That hose goes through the UIM and supplies pressure to both the charge control solenoid and the charge relief solenoid.
I would T into the hose that connects to the CRV (looks like another blow off valve. There should be vacuum until 4,500 rpm and then pressure. If that is not correct, then follow it backwards.
Makes sure there was pressure coming from the nipple that was originally stated.
If you have a vacuum diagram then it should be pretty easy to track down the problem. There aren't many hoses related to the CCA and CRV. Go in there and start testing, and let us know the results.
