that is definetaly worth 20k
dont worry about the car having 100k miles on it.
if the paint looks good and the interior is nice that's all that matters
if he didnt change out the suspension its probably in need of some help at this point.
Make sure you get the reliability mods if he doesn't have them I would be surprised with a car like that.
I have seen stock 93 tourings sell for 16000 easy all summer long!!
I would jump on this one if you have the money
new motor, turbos, nice exterior and interior! check the tranny hopefully its a manual and doesn't have any problems like the 5th gear synchro
change the fuel filter and clean the injectors and everyt fluid in the car if he didn't already.
Condition of the tires? does the A/C work?
thats about it

good luck man

IMO that is a little high. With a new engine and turbo I wouldn't go any higher than 18K, mods or not. WTF are you going to do with a TV in there? If I were you, I'd pick up a cheap VR FD and fix up the car the way you like it. And if that includes a TV, more power to you!

i'd go 18,000. 20,000 isn't that much for it looks pretty good. Hey man let me know if you don't want those seats i can trade you some stock R2 seats.

I good rule of thumb with modified cars is start with a stock car with similar miles and characteristics (ie.fresh engine+turbos), and look at what those go for. In this case, if it was stock, I'd say $16-$17k if the engine is a nice one (rebuilds vary) and the turbos are NEW (at least $2000). Then look at the mods. If you're going to get all those mods anyway, its an incredible steal because the cost of buying them and installing them is way over $3000. But if you don't like the mods, its a ripoff. So look at the mods you like and add up the cost of buying and installing them, subtract a little for their age, and and add that to your $16-$17k and see if it goes over $20k. If it does, then you're good, if it doesn't, then pass.

Since it's a riceboy car, it's probably been poorly maintained. It needs AT LEAST a new engine and new turbos.

While I don't know if the car is rice, definately get rid of the Tenzo R seats when you get it... Yuckie!!

I think the car is worth 20k, but only if you don't plan on changing much on the car, if you plan on changing alot then you might as well just buy one for 13k-15k and start fresh and cheaper. Also make sure you see receipts for the motor/turbos and still have compression checked and the car checked overall before you buy..

I just (6 months ago) bought a 94 Silver R2 bone stock with 80k on original engine...since then I have invested about 3k in mods and reliability stuff...I would say that car if it is in good shape with the paint and interior then go for it...I think If I were to do it over again I would have shopped around for a better deal...not saying that I don't love the **** out of my car though The thing is pretty awesome...but what I have notice after buying and continuing to shop is that great deals pop up continiously...If you like it and not planning to change much then go for it and offer a bit less...

be careful with the pomised work. What if the engine and turbo installs aren't perfect or it has problems after you buy (oil leaks, bad boost pattern, etc)? Who is doing the work and who is reposinsible for making it right for how long? Handshake or written deal? If the new parts are being installed by a reputable shop that is willing to transfer the warrentee on parts and labor to you, AND you like all the mods that have been done, then it looks like a reasonable deal, worth barganing for. If the details of the new engine work are elusive, or the mods are not to your taste, then pass.

ehh...I don't really like it all that much but for 20k I think I would take it since there is a new motor and turbos.

the shop that all the work is being done is at rotary perfomance. he said that the warrenty will be transferable. but see i am not sure of this cause i live in cali and he lives in tx. but before anything is paid and done i will look into everything. imma tell him to get a compression test and a boost paternn test. what boost patern should i look for?
thanks

At least stock level 10-8-10.

If there are engine mods, it could be higher, but that depends on the mods. Shouldn't be lower.
