Whatever you do, don't plug in anything until you're sure it's compatible.

Desperate to get an FD running is a recipe for bankruptcy and a ruined car.

even if it did work wouldn't the fuel and timing maps be way too aggressive using our lower grade 93/94 octane gas vs. theirs?

Could be ture

"Under the Japan Industrial Standards (JIS), regular gasoline is defined as having an octane number of 89 or higher, and high-octane gasoline is defined as having an octane number of 96 or higher. "

That would me that i would have to increase the Octane all the time.

the stocl ecu is giving me a #2 Code and i have check what the manual tells me to check and everthing is ok now, i had to fix a wire that broke, it could have grounded out to the motor. Now the ohms are perfect, so it says that the ECU is Bad and to replace it.

What is the Diff between N3A2, N3A7, N390

The Cosmo was available with either 2 or 3-rotor engines.

I agree there. You can buy a stock auto ecu from someone doing a manual conversion for about $50...if your ecu is really bad.

A Cosmo ECU is a ticket to disaster. Someone must have an Auto OEM ECU to sell. The Octane would be the least of the issues, and by the way the US standard for Octane is the straight average of Research (RON) and Motor (MON). Many countries use the higher RON as the standard. Their 96 is our 93.

Ok i proably solved my own Question

A Guy from Rotary Proformance said that the 5sp and auto ECU Connectors are the same and will work, but the trans will not have the hold feature. This is how they use the Power FC in an Auto FD
