YouTube TJ Hunt RX7 FD looking promising
TJ Hunt is finally getting really serious about rebuilding his FD. Seems very committed.
Stripped for Full paint job with mostly high end aftermarket parts...
Gonna be following this build, especially since this looks very similar to my stormtrooper FD.

He netter take the time , cause the way it was looking , i was disappointed to see a great car het ruined in his hands. Honestly if someone is going to do a build on youtube better know what the hell are talking about. Anybody can put a bunch of parts together, but not necessarily know what its going on. You cant beat the build thread on here though. Its just real stuff..

I wouldn't assume that someone is knowledgeable about rotaries (or cars in general) just because they a youtube account with lots of videos or followers. Hopefully Mr. Hunt finds good people to work with.
If you want to see some interesting video, find Chips Motorsports LLC. He has posted some really cool machining stuff on instagram, I assume his youtube stuff is interesting also.

At this point, he's probably earning $500k/year from ad revenue, merchandise sales, and sponsorships. Getting screwed by PPRE and having to get a new engine built would be the equivilant of me going out to buy a new pair of shoes. The views alone from the 10 clickbait videos that he'd make about it would pay for a new engine.

Either way, I'd like to see what he has to say when we release the series of videos on PPRE and the details of the their screw ups. Going to be funny seeing a TJ hunt video showing how great his new engine is, then the next video on youtube documents exactly how they screw customers in vivid detail.

I saw how badly they screwed you in your build thread. I hope that you get some big exposure when you post the videos. They've already taken down the review section on their Facebook page and it looks like their getting family/friends/employees to post 5 star reviews on their Google page since all of their 5 star reviews were posted in the last two weeks. Hopefully some of the bigger Youtube channels catch wind of what you've been going through with PPRE and can share or shout out your videos.

I can see using that shop if you live in New Zealand, but if you're in the US there are TONS of great shops here that can build an engine.
I'm scared to think how much it's costing for the motor, shipping it, their labor, flying to NZ with his homies, etc.

Much similar to DGRR now bringing PPRE on as a sponsor of the event. lol. That one actually makes me laugh out loud. Some great humor

lulz at all the hate for this kid, who is actually doing a pretty good all-around build *thus far* considering the overall putrid (literally & figuratively) condition of the car at the start.
Obviously, a budget of $70k will get you lots of build goodies that most of us just don't have the luxury. But if the kid had happened to start a build thread on here w pics of all the components planned, this forum would be in absolute jizz mode (as happened with another similar thread in 2017).
Anyway, once it was clear that he wasn't gonna retard his FD w a Rocket Bunny kit, the only remaining question for me was would he stay true to the FD's iconic roots; I.e., rotary engine. And if so, would it be a 3-rotor, or perhaps even a 4-rotor. The video below reveals the answer. And any naysayers, after letting go of the butt-hurt/envy/jealousy, should likely be pleasantly surprised & pleased with the results *so far*.
(Spoiler alert: ~550 HP @ roughly 20 psi; 13B engine w E85)

There has to be some kind of deal going on. It doesn't make any sense for him to choose & visit a shop on the other side of the world. When you have the viewership and influence of someone like TJ Hunt, you don't choose/ promote/ shout out companies out of the goodness of your heart. It's all about the money. I'm willing to bet that his engine was deply discounted (if not free) and that his flights were paid for. His two YT & Instagram videos, in which he visits PPRE have almost a combined 500k views. Never mind the continuous stream of videos that he will make featuring the "plug-and-play" PPRE engine as it arrives in the US, as it's being installed in his FD, as he drives it for the first time, etc..
I know a few very small youtubers (around ~30k subs/ 5-10k views per video) that get approached by companies or are given products to feature. If these little guys can get $500 & a free shifter assembly or a deeply discounted set of custom rims for 10k views then the negotiating power of someone the size of TJ Hunt is quite substantial.
Also, Youtube's audience is mostly young males. Most can't even drive yet. These young kids are easily influenced. All TJ Hunt has to do is say "go to Google and give my friends at PPRE a good five star review" and PPRE will have hundreds of good reviews withing a day.

But hurt endless jealousy here,
right,
Coming from 4 rotor owner that spent double TJ Hunt budget, and constructed running car in half the time, using engine from the same company from New Zealand. Its called an honest review of a company, with sh*t customer service, and calling out dishonest, fake social media when you see it.
Thanks for playing.
