TX Windshield Wiper hits the hood!

My windshield wiper hits the hood then returns higher on the windshield. Does anyone have any experience with this or will I have to get a new motor?
I tried resetting the position for the wipers to sit lower, but when I do that the windshield wiper hits the hood, because it seems to wipe 1-2 inches lower than the home position. When I set it where it no longer hits the hood the wiper sits pretty high on the windshield blocking my view when it goes to the home position

if you never changed anything, re-adjust the wiper again, and/or get a shorter blade for the passenger's (Right) side.

Greasing the linkage under the plastic cowl with dry grease is a good idea too. .

Do you know it goes past down below the home position?

How is the linkage attached to the motor. Maybe the problem is at that location.

I'd be checking the plastic bushes in the linkage. If the motor is running, there's not much to go wrong there.

Old Italian shitboxes where one spline out on the wiper arm meant the wiper went over the screen rubbers, or collided with the opposing wiper, is about the closest to your situation I can remember otherwise.
