Looks like Mazda took the hint. They are restoring the first-generation MX-5 in Japan now: Mazda will now restore your Mk1 MX-5 - in Japan | Evo
I'm hoping the RX-7 cars are next.

Racecar - Formula 2000
I find it satisfying to fix stuff. I have a 43 YO Chevy G30 van that tows my 28 YO race car trailer. My F2000 racecar is 23 YO. My Sears lawn/garden tractor is 32 YO. And of course my FD was purchased in March of 1992.
