What the hell is this?

Putting my car back together and this was in the alternator parts bag. For the life of me I can't remember where this goes!
HELP!

From: okinawa to tampa
is that the part that actually goes into the alternator? the "captured nut". it would go where the long 14mm bolt slides through the bottom part. if thats what it is

No, That is still captive in the lower rear ear.

Got some more pictures of it? Really it doesn't look like an FD part, may have gone in the bag on accident.

Yeah, that doesn't look like anything I've seen on an FD. I think it it just a random part from some other car.
