What is this FD worth

A good friend is ready to let his 93 touring go . It's been off the road since 2002. Rebuilt fla title roller no mtr ,tranny Comes with most of interior no center console . Does have a 13b rew motor and auto tranny he bought in 2003 and is still strapped on the pallet it was delivered on. I have been out of the FD loop for about 7 yrs and learned quickly that prices/availability have changed. If you don't mind please post your opinion on what this FD is worth . Thanks for your imput.

Would this be considered a builder or a part out? I already have a 95 so I'm not looking build another.

Absolute part out, no question. UNLESS you really enjoy building cars. Painting, body work, finding parts, etc...etc...etc... This car is what nightmares are made of as far as I'm concerned.

I'm selling a nice completely built car with top shelf parts for 15k. It would be impossible to get this car anywhere near as nice for 15k. You will need 20k, lose all your hair, possibility of a stroke etc....

There are still too many good FDs out there.

For reference here is the car I'm selling: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...odded-1103991/

Port and build the motor 3k minimum. Until you consider you will need a wiring harness, hoses, seals etc.... now call it 4k

Fuel and tune etc...1k minimum. Until you consider you will need a fuel tank, lines etc... now call it 1500 LOL

If you don't do the work add 2k LOL

blah blah blah.............AND END UP WITH A REBUILT TITLED CAR......no THANKS!

That car has a rebuilt title? That already says that it's not worth restoring. Part out the drivetrain. It is a no sunroof car so the guys who want a race car and or LS swap will buy it.
MB, auto, salvage title, tan interior, need paint and body work and a mechanical overhaul. That car doesn't have a chance. The only thing I see it has going for it is no sunroof. If it's cheap enough as a roller someone will buy it and make it a race car. It's the only hope it has of ever finding a loving home.

I don't think it's worth spending the time on, some good advice from the OG's posting up above.

Why part out a ragged out tan interior car with a salvage title?

IMO, enjoy your '95 car, let someone else take on this headache.

In my area, that FD would be worth less than $1000.

The window of opportunity was missed with this car. Tell your buddy to sell it for as much as he can or donate the chassis for a tax write off and then off the engine and auto trans.

Parting this out will not be a good use of time.

This is the key here...say you do end up getting it built back to it's glory days. Now it's time to sell it and you're selling a car with a rebuilt title. Good luck with that.

If you're wanting to get back into the FD game I'd suggest you wait a bit, put away some more money, and get something a little more complete that just needs work.

Actually have this 95 as well. I was thinking the 93 I posted about would be a better ls1 candidate . Any thoughts on that idea?

Obviously, if you're going to spend money on either car, that one is the obvious choice.
