Update to Greddy V-mount kit

https://www.trust-power.com/news/shi..._fd3s_vlayout/

You can use Google Translate to turn it to English.

Looks like basically the same kit, but some minor updates.

- Kits with air filters have the new Greddy cone air filters
- Some kits come with an aluminum AST, it's a generic one Greddy sells for multiple caras
- Instructions revised to mount the relay box right side up.

It looks like the new relay position may work with the old kit. In the picture it shows them drilling a mounting hole in the cross bar. I imagine you could drill a hole there and install a Riv-nut to attach it to.

Regardless, it's awesome that they are making this kit, that it's of such great quality, and that they are actually updating it as time goes on.

I just ordered a 12040700 "standard" kit, the revised 120040703 "standard" kit isn't showing in my contacts stateside system, I wonder when they will land. I'm looking forward to finally joining the Greddy VMIC "club" LOL.

Thanks Dale!

I may need to see about switching my front relay to this position.

Cool Find! If you use the sponge tape the right way you effectively waterproof the relaybox anyway. I love the kit for the twins.

I like the intent, but it will not make getting to the relay box any easier. Most FD owners aren't driving in the rain intentionally, and I always hate the prospect of removing the front bumper cover to get to a relay. Does anyone know if parts for the v-mount kit can be ordered individually? Would be nice to order the updated items as they do these neat updates.

Whats in the front relay box that requires servicing? In the duration of my ownership of my 2 FDs over ~8 years, I've never actually HAD to go in there for anything. I'd be willing to bet other owners have had the same experience. In the realm of modifying cars, EVERYTHING has a give and take. Moving that relay box is less than a minor inconvenience. I don't understand why people give it so much weight when it comes to relocating it.

There is a ebay seller called blackhawkjapan that sells the part separately. if they don't have it listed reach out to them. They speak english well.

One note, K&N Sells filters (K&N RD-0720) that work fine I think they're the same ones petit uses. I prefer them over the greddy filters.

I made a bracket to mount mine next to the radiator, under the intake that didn't require lengthening any wires. Probably isn't the most waterproof, but no issues thus far..
