"Touring" FD glass top?
I used to own a Black FD '94 Touring manual with beige interior.
I was wondering if having a glass see-through sun-roof was rare since that's what it had. apparently most of them were painted, can someone confirm this?

Have you seen any for sale on this forum or anywhere else?

Mine has a glass top too, but I'm not sure it's actually glass. It's much lighter than I thought it would be. Although mine has a couple scratches like glass scratches, so I'm not sure.

I remember it was very nice to cruise around in as it let a little bit of light into the "cockpit".
I wonder if there is a way to track down my old car, is there a registry active on this forum?

I believe there is a registry somewhere on the forum, but I doubt it's up to date, as often as some of these cars get sold.

Did you sell the metal panel or do you still have it? I've thought about picking one up to swap in and see if I like it better and can save some weight, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to swap it unless I'm going to leave it in there for a long time, and I'll never sell the glass one lol.

I kept the metal one, not sure why because I doubt I ever go back to it. The extra light inside the cabin is a great addition to the car. There was a weight difference, but honestly it isnt anything to fret over unless you have a legit race car, and at that point you shouldnt have a sunroof anyway

Yeah that's a good point. I've been somewhat looking for either an R1 or base model for that reason, but I want one that's beat up so I don't feel so bad cutting it up for widebody and so I can get it cheaper. But then I thought "why not just build a little F1 style racecar from scratch?" and the rabbit hole just kinda keeps going from there lol.
