Tail lights are staying on

Hey i just noticed my break lights stay on even when my cars off . Has this happened to anyone if so know where to start trouble shooting. For now i just disconnected the battery.

Check the floor mat under the pedals for a little plastic shrapnel. There's a brittle little button/bumper that's part of the Brake Switch. It can break pretty easily. Mine did.

Cheap, and easy to fix.

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. Check your brake pedal. Therd should be a small rubber/pladtic plug where the light switch makes contact with thd pedal. These plugs brake often and cause the tail lights to permanentlg stay on. Take a nickle or a dime and hlue it on top of the open hole. Mine's lasted two years
