This is what I expect from regular car journalists. They always repeat the stuff other car journalists have written.

I agree. I've watched a few more of their videos and they blabber on without having any real clue what they are talking about. There's no enthusiasm past the point of "ooohhh Supra...That's cool."

This is a guy that I recently started watching. The videos are in Italian but each one has English subtitles. He seems much more knowledgeable than most other car journalists.

Thank you for sharing. In 1998 I was trying to decide between buying the supra or rx7. I had already owned a 83 gsl rx7 so went to mazda and found a 93 rx7 on the lot. I test drove the rx7 and never made it to Toyota to test a supra. I ended up driving off with that rx7 that day. Both reviews were good but that Italian review was super good. Well now I am currently documenting and rebuilding my rx7 on this forum.

I’ve owned both and driven a ton of both. While these guys aren’t super knowledgeable on these exact cars they described the driving experiences pretty perfect. The Supra is a really well built and capable car that handles much better then anticipated when you look at it. Yet, it’s just “ok” as an overall experience. The Supra is a little hard on the eye with factory wheels and no front lip.

The stock FD is an experience not like much else. Confidence inspiring handling and packs a bigger bunch then you expect for 250hp. The beautiful design , even with embarrassing yellow paint, is undeniable. I always like to hear reviews from car enthusiasts that hasn’t owned that particular car they are reviewing.

It's amazing how people who review the rx7 fd are usaully blown away. I think most of them expect them to run like crap since that is the reputation most un educated people give the rx7. I used to be a big V8 American muscle type of guy and I thought the rotary engine was garbage. I based my opinion on what the average non rotary owner said. Well ar the age of 16 I bought a rx7 because I could not afford a v8 camero. The rx7 was cheap and sporty. A few modifications to my 12a and I was in love. I used to beat on it everyday and I never blew an engine. I still love my v8s but I am a rotard at heart. Brap on brothers.
