Supra TT fuel pump Q

If i need to replace my fuel pump and have a bone stock FD with plans on going to big power later. Is it ok for me to just upgrade my fuel pump now to the supra tt denso pump? I know its unnecessary for a stock fd but i just dont want to buy another pump down the line when i decide to up the power a bit

Yup, that is exactly what I did.

It won't supply enough fuel for what I would consider "big power", but it should be good for 350-380rwhp.

I second the above. And the bonus is that it SHOULD come as a ‘kit’ with a new sock etc. I also heard that there are some counterfeit Chinese pumps out there so I recommend getting it from one of the forum vendors that list them. IIRC there are at least 3. Also you might want to pick up the tank seal gasket from Mazda.
It was also suggested in some previous threads to clean the grounding block Just below the latching mechanism for the hatch as it includes the pump ground.

I got mine from Banzai. Yes it comes as a kit. New sock, etc. I am so cautious of Ebay. I know with Banzai I am getting what I pay for.

When I bought mine a few years ago from rockauto I got a sock and everything...For around less than $150 shipped. Rockauto still has them for sale...not sure if you’ll get a sock or not...most likely yes

Please do the wire mod. For the pump. I still haven't taken my engine apart to see what happened, but it could have been the harness. It is not worth the risk and again with a supra pump it may not be pushing as much since it has a bigger draw and might not have enough wire to support it.
Hope that made sense

^ +1

I found a decent voltage drop when I installed a Supra pump with stock wiring and new relays/ignition switch:

As these cars get older the need to upgrade/restore the fuel pump circuit becomes greater IMHO...
