Seat belts

I need new seat belts for my car and was wondering if any other seat belts would fit. Like for example would the 2012 mazdaspeed 3 seat belts fit into my car. I have an extra set of those. If they don’t fit does any other car fit.

Does you FD still have seat belts that are just worn out, looking ratty and in need of restoration? If so, you can send them to Safety Restore to have them re-webbed with new belt webbing and get the mechanisms fully restored to work like new. IIRC, it cost me about $200 to have them restore both belts in my FD with the shipping about a year ago. Here's a link: https://www.safetyrestore.com/

^Hands down that's the best way to go. They can also replace the webbing with a different color too.

Agree about safety restore. They just redid mine in OEM looking black. I am satisfied.
One piece of advice, wash the labels and fabric bottom sleave before shipping. They will transplant these onto the new seat belt webbing. The looked a lot dirtier next to the new webbing and cleaning them after the fact gets the new webbing dirty.

What a great option, What was the turn around time?

EDIT* I just read the website, only 24 hour turn around once they receive them. That's pretty awesome.

When they did mine, it took 1 business day from when they received my belts, to the time they shipped my restored belts back to me.

Also relevant to this thread, if you decide to do a color change on your belt webbing, you'll want to supply matching color seat belt tongues to Safety Restore, as they can't source those for you. Since I went tan to black, I needed to find a replacement for the tan seat belt tongues, as I didn't think refinishing the tongues in black (i.e., SEM paint) would hold up well on such a high-touch part. So the solution there is find some used FD seat belt tongues in the right color (not easy or cheap), or buy a set of "seat belt extenders" for the FD and salvage those tongues, which is what I did. More info on that is in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-cars-1145595/
