Any RHD FD Owners in California?

Has anyone in CA paid for C.A.R.B compliance? I’ve been looking at this RHD FD for sale in Anaheim and I’m wondering how complicated and expensive it is.

It will run at least $10,000, assuming that a JDM FD can even pass CARB emissions for 1992 cars. It’s really not feasible. Look up “ICI” on the US EPA website if you want to communicate with a company that does this.

You could alternatively do an out of state registration or the Montana LLC route but both have risk of being caught out eventually by a law enforcement officer. And then you will be really stuck.

Best advice is to move out of California, if not possible then the next is to forget about a JDM FD and stick with a 1993-1995 US version.

The BS California makes you go through. Drop an LS crate engine in with all the emissions stuff included, I hate to say it but it's the easiest option for a RHD FD
