The gap between the trigger wheel and the CAS could also be an issue. it's spec'd to be pretty tight.

Also, my friend I referred to above, lost compression during a pull tonight.

So something weak may have been affecting the motors ability to keep running.

Perhaps take a closer look at your compression again.

 

Check the crank trigger connectors and wiring continuity. Doing other things before doing that is a waste of time.

 

ok so i was going to check my crank angle sensor and i think i found my problem. the bit of harness that went to my coils fell on my harmonic balancer and wore through so im fixing that today and ill see if that will fix it but im almost certain it will and that also explains why ive been having weird idling issues and had lower mpg than before.

 

ok i fixed those wires and got it started. smoked out the neighborhood because i squirted in some oil so when i was testing it and cranking it wouldn't be dry. but on the up side not a single mosquito in sight XD
