Rx7 FD Autocross - Philly Region Summer Series Event #4

Quick video of my best run from the event yesterday. Got 2nd in ASP (out of 4). Lost to an amazing STI on slicks driven by a guy who knows what he's doing!

Thanks for watching

Tires: Direzza ZII Star Spec 255/40/17 square setup on 17x9 Regamaster MP

I should be on Hoosier A6 in this class; I'm just too poor. I think the fact that I'm running upgraded primary injectors and lightened flywheel push me out of STX (I think) where I might be more competitive on these tires.

Pax: 66/132(ish?)

Don't think the FD is allowed in ST classes. Power FC is the main thing keeping you out of those sort of classes anyway.

R comps arent the fastest tire on every surface.

What are your thoughts on the Direzza ZII? Is it a quiet tire? The tires that came on my FD needs to be replaced and I was thinking about getting these.

But I dislike alot of tire noise

I like the ZII star specs a lot. Great tire even when the weather gets a little rainy yet nice and sticky for autox with high sidewalls for daily driving.

I haven't noticed any considerable increase in tire noise, but then again I used to have the ZI star specs on the stock rims. (Which were also good tires)

Hope that helps!

Other than the one badly missed apex, looked pretty good from here.
That corner cost you a lot of time.
