Rim style/color combos to go with CW FD

Hello comrades. I recently picked up a 94 base CW base model, all stock/OEM down to the 25-year old tires. I'm looking to shelves those in the garage and hop into a new set of shoes. I'm new to the FD world, but I did do my share of forum digging first before I posted, but found nothing interesting. I'd love to see what style/color combos other CW's have tried to give me some inspiration. Thanks ahead of time!

Have you try looking through the wheels photo thread or the general FD photo thread to get some idea? That’s what I did when I was debating what size/offset to get.

Ahh, yeah I don’t recall how many CW were there, just remember the thread in the archive has like 1000 page.

I think there’s a CW only photo thread too.

My car is originally CW, but currently Mazda Pure White, anyway, I went with BBS RGR in diamond black, I'm not the first to do this.

I'm actually partial to white cars with silver wheels and a polished lip. It's a very clean look

You're right that looks gorgeous. Do you know if they are BBS's? If that's your car, love to know the spec's on the setup.

Sorry that's not my car. But those wheels look like they are BBS LM series

Don't know if you've seen this but Sakebomb Garage is making upgraded replicas of the Spirit-R rims. It's in the group buy section. Looks to be really sharp looking wheels and an FD-specific fitment for a good price.

Thanks Dale. I like those replicas, but the deep dish lips on the BBS is really appealing to me right now...

I got a set of BBS RG-R. 18x8.5 +38 Front and 18x9.5 +35 Rear. These wheels are the same design as the Spirit R wheels, just wanted to upsize to wider 18's rather than 17's.

You can also check out my YT channel for some more info on my FD.

Hey MazdaSpeed. Thanks for your photo, your setup is hella clean! I think I just found my ideal combo (18x8.5 +38 Front and 18x9.5 +35 Rear)! I"m waivering between gold vs. hyper-silver, but don't think I will go wrong either way. I've given up on the deep lip look on a stock setup especially since I"m not going to roll the fenders. Anywho thanks again!
