Replacement rotors, calipers overhaul Kit, pads, stainless steel Brake lines
Replacement rotors, calipers overhaul Kit, pads, stainless steel Brake lines
Hi, i would like to renew my stock brakes. I currently have the Standard 294mm brakes. What rotors would you recommend? I Like the look of slotted rotors and prefer those with a anti-rust coating. I found products from centric premium (not slotted) and stoptech. Is there anything else? Stoptechs are quite expensive.
What stainless steel lines should i buy? Stoptech?
Does it make sense to overhaul the calipers? What Kits are available?
In Terms of Brake Pads, i read different opinions. Hawk HP, HP 5.0, EBS Red ... What is best for street use?
Thanks for any Help.

There's a thread in the main 3rd gen forum on this same topic. You may have more limited options in Germany without paying a fortune in shipping.
Slotted or drilled rotors are just for looks, they really won't do much of anything for you performance-wise, but looking good is OK. Fully coated rotors are nice since you won't get rusty rotor hats and edges over time.
At this point I don't think there are many cheap-o options out there, if you find something it's going to be of decent quality.
I would only rebuild or replace calipers if you know for sure they are bad. Sometimes the rebuild can just cause more problems. Get some new rotors, pads, and flush the brake fluid first then go from there.
