Talking Brakes!!!!!

Hey you all,

I am going to be buying some new brakes:

Front rotors
front pads
rear pads
and lines

I found that nopi can get me rotors, and pads for around 170 shipped.

I also found CS's brake line kit is only 95~ shipped to me. The kit is 89 dollars. Anyhow I just want to make sure I am getting the most affordable ones. I don't think I have seen any better deals but you all let me know what you can find.

BTW the rotors are not slotted or drilled.

One question though should I opt for a hardware kit? Also should I have my rear rotors turned?

The cs lines are very resonable and are about 5-10 bucks cheaper than i could find else where. Didn't have any problems with them.

I thought Mazdatrix had the DOT lines for $84? You don't need the rears turned unless they are out of spec either(or are grabby or other problems usually noticable with normal driving). Check your original hardware to see if you need replacements, I've always just cleaned mine up good and never had any trouble. What pads did you end up choosing? I've found that a better pad will make more difference than anything else you do with brakes.

here's my experience. i have all rebuilt calipers, cs brake lines, dot 4 fluid, stock brake rotors and brake pads from a company called sbs. the pads are absolutely amazing i ahev never been able to fade them on teh streets. they don't have to be warmed up either. i was going to invest in a brake ducting kit but i haven't needed it yet. i paid 89 for the lines and 89 for the pads. i highly suggest them. you can pick them at the tire rack.

Ok well I am going to check out mazdatrix to see their lines. I am pretty much decided on the metalic pads at nopi which are affordable. I am also getting their OE style front rotors.

Ok tonight I should be able to pick up my packages from mazdatrix and the others. I did end up getting MT's DOT SS lines. I also got new front rotors, and pads all around.

Now how hard is it to change a caliper? Oh and is the PROPER bleeding procedure in the HAYNES?(I hope I can find that thing! :-/ )
