1994 RX7 COUPE 1.3L 1311cc 13BREW ROTARY PORT INJECTION T RWD 2503 Units
1995 RX7 COUPE 1.3L 1311cc 13BREW ROTARY PORT INJECTION T RWD 406 Units

Sorry, I am not trying to thread jack.
I posted some update data as of January 2007 (Latest NVPP count for now).
I listed it on another thread... sorry, I didn't know there was a previous post on Units In Operation (NVPP).

There is some data on other rotaries too. It's at the national level, sorry I can't give away the state data cuz I may get in trouble at work! =P At least it's the general picture.

I bet most of those were lost to people who blew their motors and couldnt afford a rebuild so they opted to part out a completely perfect car that needed a simple rebuild.
Or there is that many more sitting in garages across the country waiting to be re-born.
i work in the IT department for one of the largest battery MFG in the country. i just installed the 2007 NVPP update on someone PC so i ran the 3rd gen numbers for a test. i didnt have time to figure them by state but for the country they are as of the end of 2007:
93 - 6,239
94 - 2,456
95 - 392
93 - 6,239
94 - 2,456
95 - 392

are you disputing my numbers or making a point were losing cars? im confused by your post.
i assume if you got that data in jan 07 that its actually the 2006 totals as i got mine in jan 08 which i know is the 2007 numbers.
i can call the lady and confirm this and im gonna ask her to run me the mk4 numbers as well....see who is more rare

ok, just got off the phone with the lady and everytime an update is released there is a 6 month lag in the numbers. so the numbers i posted are solid as of JULY 1, 2007.
i aslo got the mk4 numbers ill post when i get home tonight.

the mk4 supra is in fact more rare than the rx7, but not by much. i didnt run these numbers myself but i assume she did it correctly since she is the one who showed me how to run the 7's numbers.
supra #s:
93 - 2034
94 - 2548
95 - 1814
96 - 209
97 - 1341
98 - 591
that puts exactly 550 more 3rd gen rx7s on the road as of July 1 2007. thought some might find this interesting.

My 93' VR R1 was brought back from the dead in September of 06' here in Cali, so you can +1 there. It was in an insurance auction crunched upfront and took awhile to get back on the road.
+1 in Texas. No current registration. 70K miles, montego blue, tan interior, spare motor, spare tranny. When I take it somewhere, normal civilians that know nothing about the car always ask what it is and when I tell them the year, they look at me with a doubting look. They think it's a couple of years old. Never drive it. Saving it for future. A few mild mods, plus all the stock stuff as spares. I take it on short rides to keep the juices going inside. Take the back roads here at night when I do. So, I doubt you will see it on the registration roles here in Texas in the coming years.
someone should buy mine so i dont part it
it runs great just not all together.
ive been wondering im mine showed up in those numbers, its registered but its been 2 years since ive actually renewed it. does that matter?
