Nippon Denso A/C System - Looks like parts are available again

If I remember correctly, for awhile both Mana and Nippon Denso A/C parts were NLA. Seems like Nippon Denso A/C Parts are available again through Mazda.

That's excellent news! Now that everyone knows they'll be depleted in a week or two .

I don't know if it's old news. I've seen these parts periodically go in and out of stock.

The complete ND A/C system hasn't been available though. For instance, the evaporator core is available but the entire blower assembly under the dash is not. It's not clear to me if you can swap in a ND evaporator core into a Mana blower assembly. It would be GREAT if that were the case, but I doubt it.

Mazda also no longer sells some of the lines, but that's not really a problem. Everyone makes fittings that fit ND systems. The big problem with Mana is they used oddball metric fittings.

I managed to find a Mana condenser, new in box and picked it up for $200 cash. I'm going to see what I can do to just get my system running as-is, but dumping everything and going with ND to future-proof the car is tempting.

the condenser is still insanely expensive. does anyone know if there is a cheaper OE option out there?

i know some people buy the 60$ RX8 Condensers and modify them to work

If you can't find a mana drier, I know that classic car shops will refurbish it. They cut it open, silica the inside, and weld it shut.

The bottom definitely look like a mana drier. Unfortunately I don't know any source for one or even a custom one.

Been reading and looking/searching.

I cannot identify the connections for the RX8 condensor/dryer. They are simply block fittings, but I am assuming people cut the off and weld to whatever lines they have or take it to AC Specialists. Trying to piece/educate as much as I can beforehand.

The TV14C AC compressor fittings are also something I am searching for too. Also similar block fittings. (Fun fact 2009 Suburu Legacy's use the same compressor (EJ20) AFAIK.

yes i believe that is how you have to do it, also the dryer is built into the RX-8 condenser so you can delete it from the engine bay.
