i contacted Z1 a couple of weeks ago as a follow up to my August visit. my contact guy was an RX7 owner... in the middle of zillions of high dollar modded Nissan iron. he was quite helpful and i am on the contact list should they, or when they, receive another TwinZ diffuser shipment. apparently there are differing widths... my FD is 55/56 in width for the mounting holes. the remaining diffuser they had in Aug was 59. i will post when and if the ship comes in IMO, they are pretty nice.

hmm never would have guessed. Lucky for me mine fit correctly! I took the bumper off to install it. I'm not sure you could install it properly with the bumper on. I still have mine installed on my bumper in my garage. Ill be out there today. If I remember I'll get a few pictures.

as readers of this thread know there seems to be issues w the fit of the TwinZ diffuser. i measured the width of the mounting area behind my rear wheels and came up with 55/56. since the only Nor Amer Dist was an hour and change from me i visited, with my tape measure. and found the only one they had was 59. no go. i received an email from them last week... they just received 23 diffusers. 4 Type 1 and the remainder Type 2. Great. i gave them a call, told them i was a buyer of a Type 1 and asked them to verify that they were the proper width for my car.

no, they really didn't want to open a box. "they all fit."

no, i really don't want any further contact w them.

i revisited my options and found i really liked the Amemiya Street Diffuser better. (of course we all have differing tastes) i am swapping in the diffuser so i can swap out the OE drag inducer for the Texas Mile... so it is mainly for function.

i was happy to see Shine makes the diffuser, even an uprated V 2 which has a bit better reinforcement where the mount goes from inside to outside. i am no stranger to Shine as when i swapped in my 295s in the rear i needed another 5/8 lip and they had a really nice unobtrusive eyebrow piece. i do recall that Shine recently moved and there may have been (understandably) some delays. my move from Wisconsin to Georgia was a challenge. i would hate to imagine moving a biz.

i am happy to say they had one in stock. i paid them Tuesday and received an email from Ken today that it is on the way.

here's the diffuser:

agree, it is not so much that it will significantly change Cd, rather it will replace the black plastic item that is clearly restrictive.

I ripped out my OEM clip (or whatever you call it) 10+ years ago just because of that. I've been looking for a better replacement ever since

Installed the spoiler and diffuser last month, both fit really well. Mine didn't line up with the 2 plastic nut things either but I am not sure it was supposed to with the front strapped to the gas tank it hangs very snug.

I think they just removed the inserts from this car when they painted it. That rear most insert is really far to the outside of the car.
