GA Need to buy Crank Angle Sensor and Speedometer Gear Sensor

SOOOO finally getting to fixing my two codes on my RX7
- 03 Crank Angle Sensor (G Signal) https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...1-18-221A.html
- 06 Speedometer Sensor https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...-17-400b-.html

I was looking at (Crank Sensor) https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...1-18-221A.html .I noticed there is a code for the NE Signal , but I am only seeing this sensor...Based on what I read in this forum I can use that one sensor for NE or G Signal sensor?
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...ectors-934872/

Lastly I have searched online and found a few places that had both. I was wondering why AtkinsRotary is so much higher than other places. Actually after typing that sentence I just realized I am not to far from MazMart. I can give Paul a ring and see that he can get them for! Either way I need to get it them ....Just finished replacing two cats, ignition coils, valve cover gasket(what a pain) and oil, on my 09 Nissan Altima...so my pockets seem light at this point lol!!!

Good crank angle sensors should be easy to find used. They rarely if ever fail, the only times I've seen them bad is due to physical damage (something fell in the pulleys and hit the sensor) or the wiring/connector is bad.

Same goes for the speedo sensor, sensor is rarely bad.

Atkins is hit or miss on pricing. Their website is great but they aren't the cheapest typically.

I'd put eyes on both of those sensors and test with the shop manual before you get parts.

Ok will get them checked first. I think I read I could test the speedo sensor with a volt meter. Will check with mazmart about checking the crank sensor because they work on rotors too.

thanks

the speedo sensor is a better place to start. it does generate a voltage, i wanna say AC voltage, but its been a while.

Well I pulled the Speedo Sensor. I attached it to a volt meter and it output 22 volts at full RPM on a drill I attached. I am not sure what the proper volts should be...I will check other wiring with the speedo

I purchased a used speedo and crank angle sensor just in case.

Looks like the board might be bad. Check this picture out. I installed another speedo sensor and it still throws the code. I cleaned off the crank sensor and that code seems to be gone. I will probably just send it out to get fixed. Really do not want to mess with it.

Yeah looks like you have had some leaky caps. There's a guy on the RX-7 Facebook group that has been doing awesome work fixing clusters, may want to reach out to him.
