According to the old sale thread, it's a VIS V-Speed. Not sure if it's a replica of another bumper.

It's a Vertex front bumper minus the canards.

Ok this is weird... The ViS website for the V-speed shows a bumper that is similar but it is still quite different from the one that was linked. I am talking about the oil cooler inlet where it looks much taller. But it could just be a streched/bad picture for all we know. See for yourself:

1993-1997 Mazda Rx7 2Dr V Speed Front Bumper Vis Racing Sports Inc.

FYI- As funkspectrum stated the ViS (or whatever it is) is a replica of the Vertex bumper. Forum member Scrub has an original vertex on his ride so I would PM him about it.

Some info on his car:

1994 Mazda RX-7 - 7th Heaven - Modified Magazine

....The Vertex front bumper beautifully complements the OEM lines of the front end, a look that continues with a pair of beefy 25mm Sanai overfenders and side skirts...

Now I don't have any experience with that particular vendor you linked, but any website that displays a bad photoshop job in an attempt to show a represantion of the product they are selling is a bad sign. A very bad sign...

The previous owner of the white FD has a thread where he showed the quality of the bumper and it needed a lot of work.

Duraflex bumpers are Theeeeee worst fitting ever. And all require body work. By the time you've got it straight enough NOT to puke... you've spent what it's going to cost to purchase Genuine Japanese Aero.

I've had bad fitment experience with VIS and Duraflex in the past. the cost on labor to get them to fit was way more than expected....

Looks like I'm going 99 spec front bumper, everyone I spoke with had a lot of trouble with fitment with this style of bumper.

On a different note any recommendations for 99 spec front bumper? Would prefer one that does not have the license plate holder.

Your options for plateless are going to be the urethane one that all brands now use the Rotary Extreme mold or Pettit. OEM is going to fit the best but also cost much more and has the plate holder. Keep in mind you'll need the JDM reinforcement bar or cut yours for the turn signals to clear.

The most wanted, most beautiful and most expensive bumper would be the 99 spec.
Try to get with the license holder. If not go for the urethane one, which is a bit cheaper and does not have the license plate holder.

Depends on what you like. Nothing fits like OEM but Chuck at RE extreme spent a good a mount of time making sure that his polyurethane version was a decent fit and it was. But the bumper still requires to be 'massaged'.

For me & at first glance, I HATED that brick plateholder on the OEM 99 spec bumper. Aesthetically, it just didn't flow well as it looked like a tacked on afterthought. IIRC, my first thought was 'wtf is that??"... Amusing to me because most people that I know that aren't FD enthusiasts have the same reaction when I show them pics of it and yet it has always been LOVED by the majority here in the forum.

But I will say this: Even me, in time I grew to like it even to the point that I can't decide which I like better. So go figure lol but ultimately I stuck with it as I trust my first impression and not what I'm used to looking at.

I love my oem 99 bumper.

If I lived in a place that had no front license plate. I'd shave it
