That ZR-1 looks cherry
hope it becomes a collector item someday.
Regarding the topic at hand... I gave up an FD before, and after trying a few other cars in between, I went back to an FD. So to answer the question, if I had to give up my FD, I'd get another FD

This is a recurring pattern because there is no car made that's capable of haunting you like an FD.
I had to gave up my FD to pay off something at the time.... BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE :'(
I regret every day I remember it and would like to own another FD.
Now if I didnt have to give it up for something important and just would like to upgrade, Id probably want a RWB Porsche 911 964 or a R34 Skyline

what other cars did you try?
I don't have an FD, but i've wanted one since I was 15. What I would consider giving up for an FD is this my 911!

maybe I"ll find a roller soon to start my addiction

he sold the 911 and went back to his rotary roots. My buddies dad has a 9964s as well and I gotta say its a cool car, engine but unbearably uncomfortable. The suspension and seats are soo uncomfortable and the transmission is weird. Car was fun but we would get beat on by daddy's boys driving BMW 335i's or M3's.
Not exactly sure, we finished tuning it on the street and cranked the boost to 10 psi. It's probably around 500 whp.
My FD was a blast to drive and it sounded sexy as hell and very unique.
The Z is not 20 years old like my FD was and is very comfortable and practical around town and gets amazing gas mileage for a car that makes over 1200whp.
the power and torque is almost instant and it handles amazing just like the FD. I haven't had a chance to track the Z yet but im sure is just as fast as the FD if not faster around the same tracks.
forgot to mention.. VERY RELIABLE

Since I'm doing mostly track events with her, either a track-prepped C6 Z06, Caymen, or a purpose-built Mazda GT:
