I haven't read this whole thread so this could be a repeat comment. However, I've become a big fan of the GTR. It is probably the closest thing to a supercar that I could afford. My Nephew has one and with a few mods is making mid 500 whp and TQ. It ran a 10.9 1/4mile and they are pretty awesome on the road course... I love my RX7, especially now with a 20b but I'm always working on something like the current boost problem. I'm kind of getting in the mood for something that newer. I say that then go drive my car and see people breaking their necks to get a look at it or pull me over to see it. It is hard to beat the FD.

Really? When I had the RX7 and was looking to buying a NSX, they went out of their way to help me.

I haven't posted there in like 4 years but from what I remember, that's how they were..they would discredit ALL cars if it wasn't an nsx or a car most nsx owners also own besides their nsx. Sounds like a small few from this forum lol.

Things must have calmed down over the years. You'll get the expected bias, but one thing you won't get is hate.

From what I've seen, the majority of people are very respectful.

 

Like here, the majority of questions have already been asked and answered. So, using the search function is preferred.

Doesn't bother me though, sometimes searching key words can be tricky

Gordon, you said you bought a 66 gt350 new? Just out of curiosity, how old are you? I saw you in the pictures from the memorial last fall and I didn't think you were much over 60. No need to answer if you don't want to as I know some people don't like answering personal questions.

I got to thinking about what yfr-r1 said about some cars not being supercars after 5 or 10 years or whatever arbitrary number he threw out. I think he's got a point, it may not be a supercar anymore, but it can still be called an exotic.

The 993 is one of my favorite 911s of all time, that anthracite with the whale tale is fantastic. There's a black 993 widebody cabriole (I think its a turbo) rolling around here with a whale tale on some pretty sexy wheels. I always stop to look when I see it.

 

As always Gordon, you bring such a sensible approach to an otherwise bicker-ridden debate.
